Research Interests
I am a postdoctoral researcher at SciComp working in the field of multi-disciplinary design optimization, mostly in connection with developments for the open-source code SU2. Recently, this also includes porting its solvers to the high-performance computing hardware STX within the scope of the STXDemo project.
During my PhD, I’ve been focusing on discrete adjoint methods, a technique in sensitivity analysis for efficient computation of gradient information, for both classical fluid flow as well as multiphysics problems.
I’m realising most of my work through contributions to SU2, so far including
- a multiphysics discrete adjoint solver,
- discrete adjoint coverage of multi-stage turbomachinery (to come),
- conjugate heat transfer capabilities,
- components for the integration of automatic differentiation and
- some general code maintenance.
